UNRELATED
THE UNFINISHED WRITING OF EJ KONTNY
May my life be like a river,
What flows in me would flow through me.
Not a pond.
Because a pond is limiting.
It's shallow and never growing.
A pond serves itself, it fits in a backyard and in the end dries up.
But a river, a river has a source.
A river stays fresh and cool.
It brings life wherever it goes and quenches the thirsty.
A river is powerful and carves out space between mountains.
It crashes down like a waterfall and flows like the wind.
A river isn't stopped by borders or barriers, instead it creates connection.
It bridges landscapes and people.
A river outlasts the settlements and brings nourishment to the wonderers.
And when it ends, it pours back into others.
Other rivers,
And oceans.
