THE UNFINISHED WRITING OF EJ KONTNY
How long must it take for new growth to emerge? How patient is the earth, that she waits, anticipating the time of renewal. Each plant on its own timeline sprouting in its given season. Each flower given its own morning to bloom.
Even the earth knows it's cycle. Preparing itself for the wind and the rain; the drought and the heat. Knowing full well that decline comes but the preparation is still more seeds, scatttered.
Even the earth knows it's resilience. The trees withstanding the storm in the depth of its root systerm. The scorched land bringing renewal to the soil. And after a long winter spring always emerges.
Even in the depth there's resurrection. The earth decomposes the dead leaves to enrich those still growing. A grain of wheat must be buried before it can produce a great harvest. And in the end all living things return generously to the soil.
